Hey Y’all, Welcome to Carolina Cupboard’s Sweet Beginnings!
Hey y’all! I’m Jules, and I’m thrilled to pieces to launch the Carolina Cupboard blog with a warm Southern welcome!
Picture me, bundled up in the chilly December air, tending those piney Christmas beauties alongside my daddy on our family’s Christmas tree farm in Ridgeville, SC. I’d be trimming branches, tying up Carolina Sapphires, and joking with him as we prepped trees for families to bring home. Those days, filled with the scent of fresh pine and my fathers warm big laugh, are treasures in my heart. But as Daddy always said, “All good things must come to an end.” That farm may be a memory now, but its spirit of hard work and joy blooms here at Carolina Cupboard. So, grab a glass of sweet tea, cozy up, and let’s start this delicious journey together!
What’s Blooming at Carolina Cupboard?
This blog is my love letter to the South—a place to share the warmth of Charleston kitchens, the glow of Lowcountry beauty, and the heart of a faith-filled life. Whether you’re a fellow mama wrangling little ones or just love a good cake, here’s what you’ll find:
- Southern Cakes from the Heart: I’m serving up recipes for classics like red velvet, hummingbird, and pecan praline cake, each one baked with love and Lowcountry stories. Visit my Recipes page to try a coconut cake that’ll steal the show at any gathering.
- Charleston Glow Makeup: Ready to shine brighter than a Palmetto sunset? My Makeup Tutorials page is packed with easy looks, like a “Magnolia Morning Glow” that’s perfect for busy days chasing my two boys (ages 2 and 3, 11 months apart!).
- Life with Faith and Family: From cheering for my #USNavy husband to navigating toddler chaos, I’ll share the messy, beautiful moments that make life special. Expect faith-inspired stories and a few laughs along the way.
Want a front-row seat to the fun? Check out my YouTube channel, @Carolina.Cupboard, where I’m baking, blending makeup, and bringing the Southern vibe to life. (My boys might just crash the party!)
Why This Blog Means So Much
Tending those Christmas beauties taught me that creating magic—whether it’s shaping a perfect tree, baking a caramel cake, or blending a peachy blush—brings folks together. Now, as a mama and wife, I want Carolina Cupboard to be your go to happy place for inspiration, whether you’re frosting a cake or trying a new makeup look. Like my girl Dolly Parton says, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.’” I’m paving a path full of sweetness, sparkle, and Southern soul, and I’d love for y’all to join me.
