Hey y’all! I’m Jules, the heart and soul behind Carolina Cupboard, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to my little corner of Southern sweetness and style! I’m a bubbly, faith-filled gal with a passion for spreading joy through my love of baking, cooking, and makeup. Raised on “yes ma’am” and “no sir,” I’m a proud daughter of the South, born in the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina. My roots run deep, from my family’s farm in Ridgeville, SC, to my old stomping grounds in Holly Hill, SC, where the smell of magnolias and the warmth of Southern hospitality shaped who I am today.
My love for the South is woven into every part of my life—it’s in my bones, my heart, and every recipe I create. Whether I’m whipping up a towering red velvet cake, a gooey caramel cake, or a hummingbird cake bursting with pineapple and pecans, I pour my soul into every bite. These Southern classics aren’t just desserts; they’re stories of family gatherings, church suppers, and love passed down through generations. And when I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me playing with makeup, creating looks that are as bold or as soft as a Lowcountry sunset, because I believe beauty is about feeling confident and radiant in your own skin.
I’m blessed with an incredible family, including my amazing husband, a proud #USNavy Submariner, and our two energetic boys, ages 2 and 3, born just 11 months apart. Those little firecrackers keep our home full of laughter, chaos, and love, and they’re my biggest inspiration (and sometimes my messiest taste-testers!). Together, we navigate life’s adventures with faith as our guide. My journey hasn’t always been a straight path—there’ve been plenty of forks in the road—but God’s grace has always led me back to what sets my heart on fire: creating and growing.
